You must enter the passport number exactly as it is shown on the title page of your passport, including any letters or numbers pre-printed on the page.
The passport number is verified as part of the checking process. An incorrect passport number will prevent the correct issue of your Visa and may result in delays when travelling to Australia.
The passport number may only include the letters A to Z and the numbers 0 to 9.
Do not include spaces within the passport number.

The above examples include characters that will prevent an online Visa application from being processed correctly.
In the last example, the letter 'O' was entered when a number '0' was required.
