Date of Birth

You must enter the Date of Birth as it is shown on the title page of your passport.

The drop-down lists are used to separately select the day, month and year using the Australian/ European calendar. If you normally use another calendar (eg. Buddhist), you should convert the date to the Australian/European calendar. This should be done for you on most passports. The English language date normally uses the required calendar.

If your full date of birth is not recorded in your passport, enter as much of the date as is recorded. You may enter Unknown for the day, or for both the day and the month, provided these are not shown in your passport. You may not enter Unknown for the month if the day is entered.

If you enter your Date of Birth incorrectly, your ETA record will not be found.

right Right wrong Wrong

right Unknown Unknown 1956 wrong 12 JAN 2422 (no year)

The combination of a known day and an unknown month cannot be entered.
